Lessie I. Oliver-Clark is currently an Instructor at Virginia State University (VSU) in Information Logistics Technology. Her course topics include Introduction to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Financial Management with ERP, ERP System Configuration, Database Management, Introduction to Logistics, and Cost Estimating. Lessie has over thirty years of experience in the design and implementation of logistics, acquisition, and financial management systems for federal and military agencies worldwide. Prior to joining Virginia State University, Lessie was a Global Defense and Security Solution Expert at SAP. In this capacity, she supported the design, testing and implementation of ERP logistics and procurement solutions for Defense and Civilian Agencies in the United States, Europe, Australia, Japan and Singapore. Lessie also held a variety of management and consulting positions in private industry and was a warranted contracting officer at the Naval Regional Contracting Center Washington and US Department of Homeland Security. She is a former Navy Supply Corps Officer. In the Navy, she served two shipboard tours, as Division Officer and Senior Supply Officer, where she was responsible for all of the procurement, logistics, and financial operations of her ship, including procuring fuel, spare parts and food in the US and overseas.
Lessie received her M.S. in Management (Information Systems) at the Florida Institute of Technology, and her B.A. in Economics at the University of Virginia where she was an Echols Scholar. She is currently enrolled at Old Dominion University where she is pursuing Doctoral studies in Instructional Design and Technology. She is a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) and a certified SAP consultant.
